This talk takes 14 themes found in expensive private prep schools to place kids in positions of power and influence (identified by John Taylor Gatto), and adapts them to apply to homeschooling families so you can prepare your children for leadership in society, business, and government.

Catholic Homeschooling: The Real-life Adventure
The greatest of adventure stories draw us close to the main characters, so that we personally sense their initial insecurities and fears. We feel bolstered as they grow in strength, and we celebrate with them as they emerge victorious. Real-life is an adventure in itself with all of these elements, except that the outcome against the real enemy is not certain and that there are eternal consequences at risk.

Homeschool parents are often challenged to teach science to their older students with just textbooks, expecially if students have a preference to the "learn by doing" approach. One such challenge comes when parents don't have a strong background in science to help create activties that reinforce textbook lessons. This talk will show how some new technologies and resources can provide students with incredible hands-on learning opportunities, as well as provide some amazing success stories.
