Fr. Chad Partain is a priest in the Diocese of Alexandria, Louisiana where he serves as Chancellor for the Diocese and as Pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Mansura, Louisiana. Father Partain was introduced to St. Philomena at an early age through the Living Rosary Association and through the life of St. John Vianney. In his junior year of high school Fr. Partain was diagnosed with a massive tumor in his inner ear which threatened his hearing.

He prayed a novena to St. Philomena to preserve his hearing so that he could enter the seminary after graduation. After an eight-hour surgery the doctors reported that the tumor had been removed but there was nothing left in the inner ear as all the bones of hearing had been eaten away. When the bandages were removed Fr. Partain was able to hear with the damaged ear despite the absence of the bones of hearing. Even the doctors admitted that it was a physical impossibility.

Fr. Partain was ordained a priest on May 31st, 2003. On August 11th, 2008 he dedicated a large outdoor parish shrine in honor of St. Philomena as an offering of thanks for all the favors he has received through the intercession of St. Philomena.

In September of 2011, Fr. Partain was appointed as Director of the Congregation of the Children of Mary. This is the youth organization of the International Family of St. Philomena, co-sponsored by the Universal Archconfraternity of St. Philomena and the Living Rosary Association. The purpose of the Congregation is to foster an extraordinary devotion to the Blessed Mother among the young and to encourage the youth of today to imitate the virtues of St. Philomena – especially her innocence and purity.
