The West Suburban Home School Band (WSHSB) is a Christian community band for the home school community. During the school year, the concert band includes all wind instruments, both woodwinds and brass, as well as full percussion. There are four distinct band levels. The entry-level ensemble, Cadets, is designed to teach complete beginners, both students and parents alike. The Junior band and Senior band are progressively more challenging. The Symphonic band features the most advanced high school students, alumni college member and experienced parents. Drawing upon the teachings of St. Francis de Sales, St. Thomas Aquinas, and St. Benedict, Reverend Canon Matthew Talarico will offer reflections on how the supernatural life of the Most Holy Trinity is meant by God to inspire practical lessons for fathers and mothers in the family life of the home.
