Fr. Jerome Magat, is a Suplician candidate from the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and was ordained in 2002 after having completed his seminary studies at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD .In addition to serving as Director of Liturgy and teaching homiletics and liturgy at St. Patrick’s Seminary in Menlo Park, California, Fr. Magat is the founder and president of the Guadalupe Free clinic of Colonial Beach–his diocese’s first free medical clinic for the poor. The Clinic has been internationally recognized, having received the International Community Activity Award from the Knights of Columbus, the order’s highest award for service work. In addition to his parochial duties, Fr. Magat serves as the Clinic’s executive director, and he also serves as an auditor in the diocesan tribunal.
