This conference is for everyone, not just homeschooling families. All religious are especially welcome.

Fr. Paul Voida believes his desire to be an evangelizing parish priest came from the example of his parents. In southern California, his parents helped start two Byzantine Catholic parishes and were actively involved in the Roman parishes of the parochial schools he attended.

He graduated with a Music degree in violin performance, then proceeded to spend 18 years in various business careers, none of which satisfied a deep longing to serve Christ and His Church. After 10 years of discernment and increasing involvement in parish ministries and after visiting five different monasteries, he entered the Pittsburgh Byzantine Catholic Seminary of Ss Cyril and Methodius, completing the Master of Divinity-type course of study in 2001.

Ordained in July 2005 by Bishop John Michael Botean of the Romanian Catholic Diocese of Canton, Ohio, Fr. Paul is now the pastor of St. Mary Romanian Catholic Church in McKeesport, PA. He is the Director of Evangelization and Catechesis of his diocese and is developing a Byzantine Catholic edition of the Montessori Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
Dr. Ray Guarendi is a homeschooling father, clinical psychologist, author, public speaker and a radio host. His experience includes school districts, Head Start programs, mental health centers, substance abuse programs, inpatient psychiatric centers, juvenile courts, and a private practice.

Dr. Guarendi has been a regular guest on national radio and television, including Oprah, Joan Rivers, Scott Ross Prime Time, 700 Club, Gordon Elliot, and CBS This Morning. He’s appeared on regional radio and television shows in over 40 states and Canada. He has been the program psychologist for Cleveland’s Morning Exchange, Pittsburgh 2-Day, and AM Indiana. He has written several books, including You’re a Better Parent Than You Think!, Back to the Family and Discipline That Lasts a Lifetime.
Dr. Catherine Moran received her B.A. in Biology, Chemistry, and Speech/Hearing Therapy from Kent State University, and her Masters and Ph.D. in Education from Breyer State University. A mother of five, she has over 20 years of homeschooling experience.

She was president of the Catholic Home School Network of America, founder of the Ohio Educators’ Catholic Home Schooling Network, and a member of the CHSNA delegation to Rome on behalf of Catholic Home Education, which visited with Pope John Paul II in 1995 and 1997.

Dr. Moran is a secular Franciscan, and served as prefect of her fraternity for three years. Currently acting as secretary-treasurer of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima, Byzantine Chapter in Warren, Ohio, she has presented the Fatima message to over 20,000 adults and children in the Northeastern Ohio and Tri-state area.
Mrs. Lisa Clark is a mother of nine children (ranging in age from 3 to 19) whom she has homeschooled since birth. A graduate of Christendom College with a degree in English, she served as a counselor at the Front Royal Pregnancy Center, and as a homeschooling counselor at Seton for some time before embarking on her role as a mom. In fact, it was in serving as a counselor to mothers that Lisa was convinced to make a lifelong commitment to homeschool. She resides in Front Royal, Virginia, with her husband John and her children.
