FREE ADMISSION!

Friday June 21st, 2013 @ 9:00am to 9:00pm
Saturday June 22nd, 2013 @ 9:00am to 4:30pm

SAVE THE DATES!

This conference is for everyone, not just homeschooling families. All religious are especially welcome.
We love children, but must restrict attendance to teens and nursing babies only.

We want to thank everyone who came to our 11th Annual Conference this past June in Fredericksburg. We were nervous that moving about an hour away from our previous location would result in a significant drop in attendance, but with 1,400 attendees, we had an absolutely fantastic conference! The consensus seems to be that the Fredericksburg Expo Center is the best facility we have ever used. We hope to see you at the 2013 IHM National Conference, the largest Catholic homeschooling conference in the world!

Below is a full speaker list for the 2013 National Conference:
Fr. Andrew Apostoli is a member of the Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Fulton J. Sheen in 1967. He has been active in teaching, preaching retreats and parish missions, and in giving spiritual direction. He is an adjunct faculty member of Saint Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie, Yonkers, New York. In his community, he has served as Community Servant and Novice Director. He was instrumental in 1988 in helping to found the Community of the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal. Currently, he is serving as a Vice-Postulator for the Cause of Canonization for Ven. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen.

Father Andrew has been active over the years producing different TV series for EWTN. He has also been giving talks on various spiritual topics, many of which are available as videos, DVD’s, CD’s, and tapes. He has written 8 books and 3 pamphlets.
Fr. Shenan Boquet, before recently being appointed as President of Human Life International, came from the Houma Thibodaux Roman Catholic Diocese, where he most recently served as Pastor of St. Gregory Barbarigo Parish in Houma, Louisiana.

Since being ordained as a priest in 1993, Fr. Boquet has given hundreds of talks at conferences and in parishes on issues ranging from the dignity of the human person and the nature of marriage, to social justice and moral theology. He has given retreats and educational seminars on the Theology of the Body, Holy Scripture and various theological topics. Fr. Boquet has also appeared numerous times on EWTN and Ave Maria Radio, as well as in other media. He has served and continues to serve on numerous boards, including the Diocesan Priests Council, of which he remains Chairman.

Fr. Boquet grew up in the small town of Bourg, Louisiana, just south of Houma in a devoutly Catholic family, for which he is extremely grateful. His earliest and most influential examples were of his parents and parish priests, all of whom instilled in him at a young age a love for Christ and his Church, and an active faith that was to be lived, and not merely held. He was very active as a youth in service projects with Catholic Charities and with other groups who ministered to the elderly, the sick, the poor and marginalized.

This active faith grew naturally into a vocation to the priesthood, where the contemplative and sacramental aspects of the Faith complemented and informed the active. A natural teacher, Fr. Boquet has been marginalized himself at times for sharing the Church’s teaching on life and family issues, although he emphasizes that it is important to do so with Charity. Throughout his priesthood, he has found himself in leadership positions, and increasingly in the areas of pro-life and pro-family teaching and advocacy.
Fr. Joseph Mary Brown was born in Bardstown, KY, the third of seven children. He graduated from Christendom College in 1985 with a B.A. in Philosophy. In 1991, he joined the Congregation of St. John (an active-contemplative Community founded in France in 1975) in Laredo, TX, where he did his Novitiate. From there, he was sent to France to continue his formation, and in 1996, he was sent to their house in Peoria, IL.

Ordained in 1997, Father currently serves as the Superior of the Community’s English-speaking Novitiate House in Princeville, IL.
Fr. Shannon Michael Collins was born in 1964 and is a native of Cohasset, MA. After undergraduate and graduate work in history and education, he taught in Catholic schools for a number of years. Having completed his seminary training at St. Philip Neri Seminary in Toronto, Ontario, he was ordained to the priesthood on June 10, 2000.

Father has been a very strong proponent of Catholic homeschooling and, over the years, a very popular speaker at numerous Catholic homeschooling conferences across the United States. He has appeared on EWTN and had previously served as chaplain for the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Hanceville, Alabama. Father is currently a traditional religious priest under Bishop Roger Foys of Covington, Kentucky.
Fr. Sean Kopczynski is currently a traditional religious priest under Bishop Roger Foys of Covington, Kentucky, and had previously served as a chaplain to a monastery of Carmelite nuns.
Fr. Bjorn Lundberg is Chaplain and Assistant Principal at Pope John Paul the Great Catholic High School in Dumfries, Virginia. Father was raised in an Army family, and grew up in Germany, Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington State. After graduating from Christendom College with a B.A. in History, and interning at Vatican Radio in Rome, Father was an Associate Producer for two years at the Eternal Word Television Network in Irondale, Alabama.

EWTN provided the opportunity to work on The Journey Home, The Abundant Life, Web of Faith and Rome’s Hidden Churches, among other television productions. In 2000, after being accepted to law school, he decided to apply for priestly studies for the Diocese of Arlington. Completing a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Arts at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia, Father was ordained to the Priesthood by His Excellency, Bishop Paul S. Loverde on June 10th, 2006. His first two assignments were at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington, and St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Fredericksburg.

Father’s vocation is encouraged by the Gospel lesson of Confidence in God as taught by St. Claude de la Colombiere, St. Therese, and St. Josemaria. Our hope is assured by the special power of Our Lady to lead us closer to Christ through a renewal of our Baptismal promises, virtue-based discipleship, and deeper freedom which comes from surrender to Christ and trust in His Divine Mercy.
Fr. Christopher Pollard
Fr. Larry Swink was born on Midway Island (in U.S. territory), the oldest of 10 children. A graduate of the University of Dallas, he earned his degree in Political Philosophy. Before joining the Immaculate Conception seminary in 2001, he worked for Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor for 2 and a half years. In May of 2006, he was ordained a priest of the Washington Archdiocese. At the 2010 Right to Life March, he gave the homily to over 10,000 Catholics. He is currently pastor at Jesus the Divine Word Catholic Church in Huntingtown, MD.

In his spare time, Father enjoys the outdoors: He is a cyclist, plays basketball, and enjoys hiking and snowboarding… as well as anything that includes a ball or a stick!
Dr. John Cuddeback received his B.A. from Christendom College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from The Catholic University of America in 1997. He has written several books, including You’re a Better Parent Than You Think!, Back to the Family and Discipline That Lasts a Lifetime.
Dr. Catherine Moran received her B.A. in Biology, Chemistry, and Speech/Hearing Therapy from Kent State University, and her Masters and Ph.D. in Education from Breyer State University. A mother of five, she has over 20 years of homeschooling experience.
