Fr. Jerome Magat, PSS is a member of the Society of St. Sulpice from the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and was ordained in 2002 after having completed his seminary studies at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD. In addition to serving as Director of Liturgy and teaching homiletics and liturgy at St. Patrick’s Seminary in Menlo Park, California, he just completed a teaching assignment at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore, MD. Fr. Magat is also the founder and president of the Guadalupe Free Clinic of Colonial Beach–his diocese’s first free medical clinic for the poor. The Clinic has been internationally recognized, having received the International Community Activity Award from the Knights of Columbus, the fraternal order’s highest award for service work. This Fall, Fr. Magat will begin doctoral studies in moral theology at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.
