Used Book Sale

The Used Book Sale features an extensive amount of books, DVDs, manipulatives, etc… We usually have a nice selection of Math-U-See, Singapore Math, Seton curriculum, Mother of Divine Grace curriculum, lots of historical fiction, flashcards, puzzles, games, and educational movies. The sale will be open on Friday, June 29th from 12pm – 6pm and Saturday, July 30th from 9:30am – 3:30pm. Please note this is a cash only sale. The Catholic Art of Memory

Dr. Vost will explain how Sts. Albert the Great and Thomas Aquinas revived and transformed the ancient Greco-Roman “art of memory,” provide a live demonstration with the audience, and show how teachers and students can adapt these ancient methods to learn and remember just about anything.

A Matter of Life and Death: The Battle for a True Education

Education is quite simply a matter of life and death. The poisoning of education by the architects of secular fundamentalism, and the culture of death it promotes, can only be countered by a restoration of tradition-oriented learning. Joseph Pearce will discuss the deadliness of the poison and will present the ingredients of the life-giving antidote.

Scrupulosity is often underestimated, but it can be a serious issue for the spiritual growth of a soul. God wishes us to have confidence in His loving Mercy, and not to be distracted with incessant worry and anxiety. This talk will cover the danger of scrupulosity, and will provide remedies for increasing trust in Divine Providence.

There are many factors that cause unnecessary stress in homeschooling. Some stresses can be avoided; others minimized by pre-planning and making arrangements beforehand, while others require simple planning on a day-to-day basis. This is an excellent talk on this important subject for homeschooling families.
