About Us

The Immaculate Heart of Mary Coalition was founded in 2001 with the intention of hosting an annual national Catholic homeschooling conference in Northern Virginia. Our first conference was hosted on June 7 and 8, 2002, the Feasts of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Herndon, VA. Our commitment was (and is still) to spread the love of Christ by promoting materials that are faithful expressions of His Holy Catholic Church. We had around 600 attendees that first year, and several attendees told us what a life-changing experience it had been for them. In 2012, the National Conference had 1,400 attendees.

In 2004 we hosted our first regional conference in Chicago, and since then we have also started annual conferences in Cleveland (2007), North Texas (2008),  Lafayette (first conference in 2008, became annual in 2012), Tampa (2009), Dayton (2011), New York (2011), Jacksonville (2012), Carolina (2012), Houston (2012), Tennessee (2013), Georgia (2013), Pittsburgh (2013), Buffalo (2013), Maryland (2013), and New England (2013). We have also held one-time conferences in Indianapolis and Green Bay.

Homeschooling is a courageous choice, and we are honored to support those who live this choice in any way we can.
